I have it enabled and haven't noticed any problems. Some older plugins can have problems if threaded processing is enabled. One that springs to mind is to try unchecking "Allow threaded processing". I don't have fixed buffers enabled, but it's worth trying that and other options in the Processing tab of the wrapper options. I use dBlue Glitch 1.3, but haven't noticed any problems like that.
